Advanced Skin Treatments

The right treatment, at the right time, for your skin.

Advanced skin treatments can help address concerns such as pigmentation, redness, scarring, uneven texture and visible signs of ageing.

At Sol Aesthetics, we use carefully selected technologies to improve skin quality, always considering your skin's current condition and long-term health.

We believe advanced treatments should complement a good foundation of skin health, not replace it. That's why our recommendations are based on what your skin needs, rather than simply choosing a treatment from a menu.

Skin Needling

Supports collagen production, improves skin texture and strengthens the appearance of your skin over time.

Skin needling is an advanced treatment that stimulates the skin's natural repair processes and encourages collagen and elastin production.

By creating controlled micro-injuries within the skin, we initiate a healing response that supports gradual improvements in skin texture, firmness and overall skin quality.

Skin needling may be particularly beneficial for concerns such as:

  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing

  • Uneven skin texture and enlarged-looking pores

  • Acne scarring

  • Loss of firmness and elasticity

  • Certain types of uneven skin tone

Good results start with a good foundation.

Skin needling isn't about having a few treatments and expecting permanent changes. Your skin continues to age and respond to environmental and lifestyle factors, so maintaining improvements requires ongoing care.

At Sol Aesthetics, we look at the bigger picture. Preparing your skin, choosing the right treatment schedule and understanding how to protect your results are all part of the process.

We'll talk you through these considerations during your consultation, so you understand what your skin needs and what you can realistically expect.

Laser Genesis

Smoother texture, softer fine lines and a more even-looking complexion, with little to no downtime.

Laser Genesis is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment that improves your skin's overall quality and appearance by stimulating collagen production and remodelling.

While skin needling uses controlled mechanical micro-injuries, Laser Genesis works differently. It delivers controlled heat into the deeper layers of the skin, encouraging collagen remodelling without physically puncturing the skin's surface.

Over time, this can help your skin appear smoother, firmer and more refined, while also reducing the appearance of diffuse redness.

Laser Genesis may be particularly beneficial for:

  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing: Helping soften the appearance of fine lines and improve skin firmness.

  • Uneven texture and visible pores: Supporting smoother, more refined-looking skin.

  • Redness and visible capillaries: Helping reduce diffuse facial redness and improve the appearance of certain vascular concerns.

  • Mild acne scarring: Supporting gradual improvements in skin texture.

  • Overall skin quality: Helping create a smoother, more even-looking complexion.

Small improvements add up.

One benefit of Laser Genesis is that you can incorporate it into your ongoing skin care with minimal disruption to your routine.

Results develop gradually, and a series of treatments is generally recommended. Like all collagen-stimulating treatments, maintaining improvements also involves looking after your skin between appointments.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Reduce visible sun damage, pigmentation and redness for a clearer, more even-looking complexion.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is an advanced light-based treatment that targets unwanted pigmentation and visible vascular concerns, helping improve uneven skin tone and the appearance of sun-damaged skin.

Using controlled pulses of light, IPL targets pigment and certain visible blood vessels within the skin, helping reduce areas of brown and red discolouration.

IPL may be particularly beneficial for:

  • Sun damage and age spots: Helping fade visible brown spots caused by accumulated UV exposure.

  • Freckles and pigmentation: Reducing the appearance of superficial pigmentation.

  • Redness and visible capillaries: Helping improve diffuse redness and certain vascular concerns.

  • Uneven skin tone: Addressing areas of brown and red discolouration.

  • Sun-damaged skin on the face, neck and décolletage: Improving the appearance of mottled pigmentation and redness.

Our approach to IPL at Sol Aesthetics

Before beginning IPL, we take the time to understand your skin, assess your concerns and ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.

We also encourage establishing a good foundation of skin health first. Supporting your skin barrier, maintaining a suitable skincare routine and protecting your skin from UV exposure are important considerations before and throughout your IPL treatments.

We require a test patch for every client before commencing IPL at Sol Aesthetics, even if you've previously received IPL treatments elsewhere. This allows us to assess your skin's response before proceeding with a larger treatment area, although it cannot eliminate all risks.

Please note: IPL treatments are not available for direct online booking. All clients must undergo a skin assessment and test patch before commencing treatment.

Before Your Advanced Skin Treatment

Your skin's health and safety are always our priority. While advanced skin treatments can offer many benefits, they aren't suitable for everyone.

Please be aware that the following may affect your suitability for treatment:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Recent sun exposure, sunburn or fake tan

  • Active skin infections, cold sores, open wounds or inflamed skin conditions

  • Certain medications, including those that increase sensitivity to light or affect skin healing

  • Current or recent use of isotretinoin (Roaccutane)

  • Recent cosmetic injectables, laser treatments or other advanced skin procedures

  • Melasma, certain pigmentation disorders or a history of abnormal scarring

  • Medical conditions that may affect healing or your skin's response to treatment

  • Known allergies or sensitivities to skincare ingredients

Please note: These factors do not automatically exclude you from treatment. We assess suitability individually, and some treatments may need to be modified or postponed.

This is a general guide and does not cover every contraindication. Additional screening and safety requirements apply to individual treatments.
